Community Eligibility Provision Information School Year 2021-2022
Dear Parent/Guardian:
We are pleased to inform you that all Pre-k through 12th grade students eat free!
ALL Monmouth-Roseville School District #238 schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, which is available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the school year 2019-2020. (Formerly referred to as the Community Eligibility Option).
The CEP program allows qualifying school sites to feed breakfast and lunch to every student in the school free of charge, regardless of household income. No further action is required of you for your child to receive free meals. There will be a charge if your student takes an extra serving or purchases an a la carte item.
CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) status does NOT qualify any students for free books or fees. Household income forms must be completed to find out if you qualify for free books or fees unless your family qualifies for direct certification. The Food Services Director emails the direct certification notices out to families who qualify. We ask that all other families with students complete a Household Income Form to determine eligibility for free registration fees and various additional state and federal programs that may benefit your children. Click here>> Household Income Form
Please remember that income must be verified within 30 days of completing the household income form. Schools in the District may use these funds for things such as: Before and after school academic and enrichment programs Teachers to reduce class sizes Guidance and College Counselors Health and wellness services Fee waivers for college applications and admissions tests, and more
Every eligible form not submitted means lost resources for our school. For more information, please see the online parent letter and instructions with FAQs. If you have additional questions, please contact Deena Neal, Monmouth-Roseville District Registrar, at [email protected]
Thank you for providing this information, which is 100% confidential, and for helping to ensure that our schools continue to receive the critical funding needed to serve our students
If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us at 309-734-3300 or [email protected].
Sincerely,
Teresa Allen, MRCUSD Food Service Director
